Diana de Avila is an autodidact polymath and artist based in Sarasota, FL, who began her artistic journey in 2017. Drawing inspiration from fractal geometry, quantum physics, chaos theory, and divine order, she has created over 2,000 digital art pieces that reflect both complexity and beauty. Her work is deeply influenced by acquired savant syndrome and synesthesia, which emerged following challenges with multiple sclerosis and a traumatic brain injury. This unique neurological experience fuels her ability to merge science, mathematics, and art into stunning visual expressions. A participant in the Techspressionism movement, De Avila explores augmented reality and multimedia to push the boundaries of digital art. Her work is showcased in public collections and installations, including Reagan National Airport, large-scale murals in corporate, aviation, and financial settings, as well as projects for non-profits. De Avila’s passion extends to designing impactful static and motion art for corporate spaces, restaurants, and businesses, creating cutting-edge visuals that transform environments. Her innovative and visionary approach makes her a sought-after creator for any setting looking to integrate inspiring, contemporary art. -- "Diana de Avila is one of the most interesting cases of this disease; following a string of medical occurrences, including a serious accident and multiple sclerosis, she noticed a marked change in her cognitive functioning. De Avila experienced a sudden and intense drive to paint after experiencing brilliant colors and shapes while recuperating from an attack of ocular neuritis in 2017.
